Australian Education System

Australian education system needs

Australian education system should be free

A developed society in the 21st century should have a free education system, including TAFE courses and Universities.
In our country, the TAFE colleges are free and not, depending on State governments. At this stage, we need to be concerned with University degrees and higher degrees.TAFE colleges should be free as well but it is not the subject of this post. Universities were free for a while, more precisely after Gough Withlam implemented a free education system in the 1970s. When I came to Australia there was a free health system and education system. For some reason neither do they exist. So they need to be built. The education system is one area of work. Today the charges at tertiary colleges are covered by using the HECS or HELP system where you pay for your education at later times. I have to mention that initially, HECS was only 2500 per annum or even the whole course. At times the fees have been increased where you pay the whole course 20 000$ per annum or close to 20000.

The government is increasing the total money to be repaid and also decreasing the level of money you earn to pay it off. In other words, they have not given up on 54 billion dollars.

The quality of education is not there because of the money involved and if you pay money the courses and subjects will be easier. We rely on money from foreign students
to keep the Tertiary System alive. Wait for the Chinese people to come to study and also some Indians that is the principle of today’s education

It is believed that if you charge foreign students a fee, they eventually will come back and charge Australians. This principle lies in the fact that you want a Study system
to be fair and right for everybody who attends it. You might think that there is a lot of money to be lost from a system with foreign students, Only a quota of people from overseas would be allowed. A tertiary system is not a money-printing machine but a place of study and knowledge. In Estonia, the tertiary education system is free for local and international students and this is how it should be here too. The Chinese system is a communist system that is not compatible with an Australian one. So why should there be a lot of students from China??

Finally the conclusion the Tertiary education system should be free and foreign students are allowed only a quota
