Used for thousands of years it can be transcendental, mindful meditation, breathing exercise, guided relaxation with music, etc. Figure out what is best for you. Another quick and useful way of relaxing and energizing is music therapy. Again find out for yourself what works for you.”

There are so many books on relaxation so I will not make a big deal about it. Current mindfulness is the meditation taken by a lot of people. It is a meditation you live for the moment. You will not have time for fear, because in the present there is no fear. You will not feel stressed. I do it myself and is very good, that is the reason I added it to this post. Focus on the place of the body for the moment. E.g.: ‘My back lies on the bed. My head lies on the pillow”. Also, be aware of the environment the corner of the furniture is there, the bed seats are on the floor, etc. I hope you get the logic here. If you find yourself drifting, do not get upset, just go back to meditation and watch how you drifted. Another type of meditation I use is transcendental meditation. Align the body, mind, and brain to work together. It is very good for relaxation. Focus on your breathing. Out or in or both kinds of breathing. The mind will wonder if you need to observe it and go back to the meditation. Say there is a “thought”, there is an “emotion”. With practice, you will become good and able to do a short burst of meditation for 15 seconds. That is all it will take you to relax. Another type of meditation I use is tape affirmation with music. It relaxes the mind, body, and brain. So the affirmations will be accepted very easily. With music in the background, you can count from zero to twenty. You will get into a state of deeper relaxation where you will listen to your affirmations. You can put anything on affirmations, gaining self-esteem would be a good one. Energy is another good one. After affirmation, you will go back to zero from twenty and back to normal. There are more types of relaxation which you will find if you look for them.

Using music therapy, not to feel stressed

I mentioned in the post that I do affirmations with music. That would balance the brain, the left side with the right side, and you will feel calm and tranquil. One way to be calm is through music. If you read a book with music in the background you will do a lot of reading in a calm state. Relaxation music is part of music therapy. There is also music uplifting and energy for the soul. The music should be without words. Expressing your feelings through an instrument is again music therapy. Music helps you stay positive, not negative emotions. The right music can give you rhythm and then you can do a lot of things. There is a lot of material if you like to continue with music therapy. There are also professionals in the field. I used music therapy throughout my extreme chronic fatigue condition for 12 years. Hope music will help you too.
